Artist Statement
At 33, I left a corporate career to learn to draw. To begin the process of becoming an artist.
Early on, I believed the role of the artist was to make the invisible visible.
To date, I worked 39 years attempting to express what is inside a face, a flower, sometimes a seascape, attempting to paint, draw or sculpt the energy pattern that makes a thing what it is.
I have felt myself like an alchemist constantly stirring pigments until patterns and their colors emerged, bringing with them the previously unseen.
